There is something about posting that is quite addictive. I didint want to before because The layout was stupid. Now that it has improved (marginally) I'm finding it very difficult to control my fingers. They just want to type dammit. While I'm here I might as well write another review to keep my poor reader occupied. Just so you know as my will reviews seem to have no rhyme or reason to them I do them when I can be bothered and generaly on something that I have watched/listened to/read lately.
Lost in Translation Directed:Sofia Coppola
This movie had its entertaing moments. It was light and funny but it was a good but not brilliant movie. Furthermore what made it good were the strong performances given out by the actors Bill Murray and Scarlett Johanson; definitely not the script! One has to pose the question, did coppola get the best original screenplay simply because she was a member of the Coppola dynasty (see the godfather movies). The movie didint particualrly deserve the distinction that it got, and all though the members of the academy are supposed to "recognise technical and artistic disitinction" one has to wonder.....
